Data the extension handles

To provide this feature, the extension temporarily handles information needed to make authenticated, read-only usage requests, including a short-lived access token, an account or workspace identifier when required, and usage metadata returned by ChatGPT. Usage metadata can include percentages used or remaining, reset timestamps, plan type, optional credit balance, optional banked-reset information, and additional rate-limit meters.

The extension does not read or collect ChatGPT conversation text, prompts, responses, files, browsing history, passwords, or OpenAI API keys.

Authentication

The ChatGPT access token is used only temporarily in memory to make read-only requests. It is not written to Chrome storage, synced, intentionally logged, or transmitted to any server operated by this project.

The extension does not request Chrome's cookies permission and does not enumerate or copy individual ChatGPT cookies. It relies on the browser's normal authenticated behavior for chatgpt.com.

Local storage

The extension stores only normalized usage information and last refresh/error state in chrome.storage.local inside the user's Chrome profile. This data can include plan type, percentages, reset timing, optional credit and banked-reset information, additional usage-limit metadata, and the last successful refresh time.

This data is not synced by this project to a remote server.

Network requests

The extension communicates only with ChatGPT/OpenAI services required for its disclosed usage-monitoring purpose. There is no project-operated analytics, advertising, telemetry, or backend service.

Sharing and sale

Fehistro Studio does not sell, rent, share, or transfer extension user data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. User data is used only to provide the extension's disclosed functionality.

Read-only behavior

The extension does not redeem banked resets, purchase credits, change subscription or account settings, send ChatGPT prompts, or attempt to bypass or circumvent OpenAI usage restrictions.

Chrome Web Store limited use

The extension's use of user data is limited to providing and maintaining its single disclosed purpose: displaying the user's Work/Codex usage-limit information. Data is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, unrelated analytics, or human review.

Changes

If the extension's data practices change, this policy and the relevant product disclosures will be updated before data is collected or used in a new way.
