Read-only access, narrow purpose
Work & Codex Usage Monitor uses your existing signed-in ChatGPT browser session only to request and display Work and Codex usage information. The extension does not create a separate account and does not send your data to Fehistro Studio.
Data handled
What the extension may process
To show the information available for your account, the extension may temporarily process:
- Your ChatGPT session response and access token.
- Your account or workspace identifier.
- Usage-limit percentages, reset times, credit balance, and related usage metadata.
- Available banked-reset count and reset details returned by ChatGPT.
The access token is kept in memory only while a request is made. It is not written to extension storage.
Your conversations, prompts, responses, uploaded files, browsing history, passwords, or OpenAI API keys.

What remains on your device
The extension stores a normalized copy of your latest usage information and, when needed, the latest request error. This lets the toolbar popup and on-page monitor display a useful state without sending information anywhere else.
Stored data stays inside Chrome's extension storage on your device. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, used for profiling, or transferred to a Fehistro Studio backend.
On-page monitor
A small overlay on ChatGPT
When you choose “Show on ChatGPT,” a content script displays the usage monitor on chatgpt.com. It does not inspect your conversations or page content.
The overlay asks the extension's existing background service worker for usage data when it opens, every five minutes while it remains open, and whenever you select Refresh. The content script does not make direct network requests.

The extension communicates directly from your browser with these ChatGPT endpoints:

There are no analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, advertisements, or third-party data processors in the extension.
Your control
Informational, never transactional
The extension can display usage data, but it cannot redeem banked resets, purchase credits, change your account, send prompts, or bypass ChatGPT limits. Those actions remain available only through official OpenAI interfaces.
You can close the on-page monitor at any time. Removing the extension through Chrome also removes its locally stored extension data.
